Privacy Policy

De Novo Digital Corp.
Effective date: June 11, 2026

De Novo Digital is a digital marketing agency in San Diego, California. This policy explains what information we collect through denovodigital.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language because that is how we write everything.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, fill out a form, or sign up for our newsletter, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything you write in a message field.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and the tools listed below collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies: your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived here, and how you interact with the site.

In the categories used by California law, this means we collect identifiers, internet and network activity information, approximate geolocation, professional information you choose to provide, and commercial information about the services you ask us about. We do not collect sensitive personal information as California law defines it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

2. How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Respond when you contact us
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website
  • Understand how visitors use the site
  • Send you our newsletter and other marketing email, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link in any message
  • Advertise our services, including showing ads to people who have visited our site
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse

3. The tools we use and who receives your information

We use a small set of third-party tools to run this site. Each receives some visitor information in order to do its job:

  • HubSpot hosts this website and powers our forms, newsletter, customer database, and site analytics.
  • Google provides Google Analytics, which tells us how visitors use the site, and Google Ads, which we use for advertising and to measure whether our ads work.
  • Meta provides an advertising pixel we use to show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited our site.
  • LinkedIn provides an advertising tag we use for the same purpose on LinkedIn.
  • Cookiebot manages cookie consent on this site and stores your cookie preferences.

We do not sell your personal information for money. The advertising tools above do involve disclosing visitor information to Google, Meta, and LinkedIn for targeted advertising, which California law calls "sharing." Section 5 explains how to opt out of that, and it takes one click.

We do not share your information with anyone else except service providers under contract, or where the law requires it.

4. Your privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have about you
  • Delete it
  • Correct it if it is inaccurate
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any)
  • Equal service and price whether or not you exercise these rights

We extend these same rights to every visitor, not just California residents.

To exercise any of them, email us at info@denovodigital.com or call (619) 289-7435. Tell us which right you want to exercise. We will verify your identity by matching the information in your request against what we have on file, and we will respond within 45 days. You can also authorize an agent to make a request for you.

5. Opting out of targeted advertising

You have three ways to opt out, and any one of them works:

  1. Cookie settings. Decline marketing cookies in the cookie banner, or change your choice anytime through the link on our Cookie Policy page. The advertising tools above only run if you allow marketing cookies.
  2. Global Privacy Control. We honor GPC signals. If your browser or a browser extension sends one, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising on this site.
  3. Email. Send a request to info@denovodigital.com.

Older "Do Not Track" browser settings never got a common standard, so we respond to GPC signals rather than DNT.

6. How long we keep information

We keep contact and business records as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you or a business need, and as long as the law requires for things like tax and accounting records. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the tools above, currently up to 14 months for Google Analytics. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

7. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, and your information lives in the systems of the vendors named above, each of which maintains its own independently audited security program. Access within De Novo is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and we keep our vendor list short on purpose.

The site links to other websites, including our social media profiles. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies, and the privacy practices of those sites are their own.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will say so plainly at the top of this page for 30 days.
